Brilliant Chong Wei ends Lin Dan’s record bid

Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei captured his second consecutive YONEX All England Open title on Sunday when he prevented arch rival Lin Dan of China from becoming the first shuttler in nearly 40 years to win the oldest badminton title for the fifth time. Chong Wei won 21-17, 21-17 in 53 minutes.
Not since Indonesian great Rudy Hartono won the fifth of his seventh titles in 1972, has a player won the men’s singles crown on more than four occasions. Read full news detail on BWF
