China's Chen Long claimed the men's singles title of the China Badminton Masters by beating teammate Chen Jin on Sunday.
After taking the first set quite easily 21-16, third seeded Chen Long found himself in a tight corner as Chen Jin led for the most of time in the second, but Chen Long finally came from behind to secure the victory 22-20.
Chen Long and Chen Jin knocked out Denmark's Peter Hoeg Gade and teammate Lin Dan in the semifinals respectively on Satureday.
Chen Long suffered an unexpected defeat in the first round at the world championships last month as he lost to Kevin Cordon of Guatemala. "The Masters title reinforced my confidence," said Chen.
Chen found back his rhythm in this tournament, and has beaten South Korea's eighth seeded Hyun Il Lee and second seeded Gade.
"The happiest thing is that I didn't lose to foreign players here, Gade and Lee are our major opponents," added Chen.
