Kien Keat and Boon Heong fall to unseeded Danes in Paris

Nothing seems to be going right for the country’s top men’s pair of Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong.

The world number five, who are battling to restore their battered pride, suffered a second round exit in the French Open in Paris yesterday.

The pair lost 16-21, 19-21 to unseeded Mads Conrad-Petersen-Jonas Rasmussen of Denmark in just 38 minutes. This comes in the wake of their demoralising first round loss to South Korea’s third pair of Kwon Yi-goo-Cho Gun-woo in the Denmark Open last week.Their back-to-back defeat will certainly see their world ranking slide even further down and they now face the prospect of not being seeded at next year’s London Olympics.
